It seems like logic (or my 2017 MacBook Pro) can't handle running Komplete Kontrol & Maschine all at once. I'm thinking maybe if I just have my Maschine and Komplete record as audio into Logic instead of Midi into Logic this might help solve some of these issues? But I also have no idea how to do that, so any help would be amazing :)įor reference: I am typically recording through Komplete Kontrol as my plugin for the M32, but lately have been trying to consolidate my Komplete and Maschine sounds all inside the Maschine plugin. This has been really throwing a wrench in my recording process with the Komplete M32 and has only been exacerbated by adding my new Maschine MK3 into the mix (it just keeps getting stuck in Track Instance!). This "getting stuck" even happens when I put a region with a Komplete recording on Loop and do playback. For example, I recorded a melody last night and hit cmd+z after I botched the take to quickly erase it - this resulted in being stuck in Track Instance.

In particular, my Komplete M32 works perfectly until I start editing anything I'm recording (inside logic) and then it locks up. I'm having this issue with my Komplete M32 where it gets stuck in "Track Instance" on the top right of the keyboard and I can't access my plugins or browser without closing Logic and opening it back up. You can also select a region that you've played and clear all the automation within it, sometimes this is necessary when first learning how automation in Logic works as it can be a little confusing to start with and so it's handy knowing that the option exists.I'm hoping someone can help me figure out a solution to this. Look up the other modes within the Logic manual as they can be very handy if you want to fine tune your automation. That way, Any automation you've saved cannot accidently be adjusted. Once finished ensure that automation is set to 'read'. Find Native Instruments and select Guitar Rig, and you're good to go.įor automation, Logic has 4 different modes, which you must enable on a track-by-track basis, by default this is set to 'Read':īasically, set it to Write and your pedal/automation movements shall be recorded (Note: You don't have to record-enable the track when in this mode, so don't get caught out writing automation by mistake). Now select the Audio FX for the selected track which looks like this:ģ.

Once you've created your track, make sure the inspector is enabled (top left of screen) this gives you information on the track that you have selected:Ģ. Apologies if i've misread your post, but to use Guitar Rig in Logic you need to create an audio track and assign the Guitar Rig plug in to it:ġ.
